NRBC's Classic
Challenge Program
The
Innovative New NRBC Classic Challenge Program for Reining
Horses aged 7-years-old and up!
Divisions for Open, Non Pro and Youth
The National Reining Breeders Classic has long been
the highest added money event in the reining world.
It has also been the leader in the reining industry
- the first Derby event to include 6-year-olds, the
first to include Prime Time competition, the
initiator of the enter-once to be entered in all
categories for which you are eligible - and much
more. Now with the international influence of
competition for aged, the NRBC is once again
stepping into a leadership role - with the NRBC
Classic Challenge Program celebrating a lifelong
career for reining horses.

What is the purpose of the Classic
Challenge Class? This is a new concept
for horses that have aged out of the existing Derby
programs in the reining industry. The Classic
Challenge Class was created to encourage career
longevity for a horse and reward owners for
supporting international competition. It will also
encourage proper training and maintenance for our
horses to have a long show career at all levels.
How does a horse become qualified?
If a horse is by an eligible NRBC stallion
and is
enrolled as an
NRBC foal, it can be
advanced as a
Classic Challenge horse for $300, making it eligible
for its lifetime.
How is the added money funded?
Both by the advancement fees of the Classic
Challenge horses and by additional funds already
paid by enrolled stallions.
